Almost all Mend patients are told to start a Magnesium protocol when they come in. There are 11 different types of Magnesium. In general, I recommend most patients take 500-1,000mg of Magnesium Glycinate every evening.
Magnesium Glycinate is wonderful for anxiety, muscle tension, bone health, sleep issues, gastrointestinal health, high blood pressure, and normal brain function. Most other forms do not address all of these issues. Also, other forms of Magnesium are not as bioavailable and also cause gastrointestinal issues (diarrhea and stomach cramps).
