Originally from New Jersey, I grew up in New York City and graduated from Rutgers University with a dual B.A. in English and Journalism. Upon moving to Los Angeles I studied graphic design at UCLA, and opened up an entertainment advertising agency. But something was missing and I felt a deeper calling. Then, after unexpectedly losing my 3rd child at birth, the painful wake-up call was clear and I knew I needed to follow this new path in my son's memory.

6 years later, I graduated from Dongguk University – Los Angeles with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. While at Dongguk I had the pleasure of working in the Student Clinic for 2.5 years as well as interning at The University of Southern California Engemann Health Center. I am certified with advanced training in Chinese Medical Pediatric Diagnosis, advanced training from the NICABM in Strategies for working wth Anxiety, am a Doctoral Candidate, a Licensed Acupuncturist & Primary Care Provider by the State of California, a member of the American Society of Acupuncturists, The California Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine Association and a proud Board Member of the Los Feliz Business Improvement District.

I love California and currently reside, work, and am active in the beautiful community of Los Feliz with my husband of 23 years and our two children. Residing in California has opened my eyes to a healthier lifestyle and broader view of healthcare.

There is very little Traditional Chinese Medicine has not had success in treating. I have worked with infants, children, women, men, the elderly, cats, dogs and even horses! I am here for you and am happy to answer any questions you may have regarding how Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can benefit you and your family.

I have pursued a creative life of art and music. After graduating from art college, I worked as a graphic designer in the Fashion Industry, and created editorial illustrations for various magazines. I also enjoyed a career as a professional bass player, recording and gigging with numerous LA rock bands, and touring Europe as a multi-instrumentalist in an eclectic art ensemble with Radio Tokyo Studio engineer/producer, Ethan James.

In 1997, I was faced with a major health challenge, which was the beginning of my pursuit of alternative medicine, and another turning point in my life. After recovering fully from Stage IV Breast Cancer, I returned to advertising work. And it struck me – am I really here on this earth to make movie posters? I had a strong calling to enter a new art form – the healing arts.

I hold a Masters of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Samra University of Oriental Medicine, , am a Board Licensed Acupuncturist in California, a Diplomat in Acupuncture, Certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and am certified in Clean Needle Technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM).

Specialty: Shiatsu, Cranio-Sacral, Reiki

I am a certified massage therapist, reiki master healer, and health educator. I have studied numerous styles of manual therapy and healing arts at National Holistic Institute, Upledger Institiute, California State University Northridge, Barral Institute, and the Zero Balancing Health Association. Over the years my practices of massage, shiatsu, craniosacral therapy, energy healing, and martial arts began to coaslesce into a unique style, dubbed Shiatsu Alchemy. I am a firm believer in the body's ability to heal itself, and Shiatsu Alchemy has evolved as a powerful aid to that natural healing process.

Having suffered from chronic headaches and depression for many years, I've found meditation, body/energy work, and movement to be an indispensable part of his own healing journey. My passion for helping others relieve their pain and stress is born out of his direct experience of the healing power of this work, and I am honored to be able to share what I've learned.

I live in Los Angeles with my wife, Lauren, and cats, Zero and Blixa. I also enjoy gardening, making music and art, hiking, camping, cycling, baking, and brewing.
